Service Projects Benefit All Involved
Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center greatly appreciates the much-needed help and service from local community members and businesses with our grounds projects. There are many benefits:
- Our service projects provide valuable opportunities for corporate team building and volunteerism.
- They offer memorable family and group experiences while benefiting wildlife and our mission.
- School groups and scout troops benefit by learning teamwork and helping wildlife native to Indiana.

WILDLIFE VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION
Your Support is Important to the Wildlife
We know you care about wildlife and rehabilitating the injured and orphaned. Although many of the animals we receive require veterinary visits, medications, medical treatments, and husbandry (includes shelter, food, and medical treatment), there is never any cost to good samaritans who bring wildlife in need of our help. Please consider donating so we may continue the good work we do together to help our wildlife. No gift or donation is too small, and your generosity is appreciated.
Spread the Good
Help spread the good that we do together!

- Chicken
- Beef products
- Deer products
- Freshly caught or frozen fish
- Human-grade baby food
Donations may be delivered to our Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center at 570 North 450 East Valparaiso, IN 46383. Please call us at 219.299.8027 if you have questions about your food donation and so we may plan accordingly for your donation.
Become a Release Site
You can help us build our release site capacity by volunteering your property to be a release location. Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center admits and releases thousands of animals a year that all have special habitat requirements! Currently, we are partnered with several local non-profits, private property owners, and county parks who have all agreed to allow our team to release animals on their property.
