Testimonials
Angie L.
“My name is Angie and I have been working for Humane Indiana for a little over 5 years. I started out as an Animal Care Technician and because of the support and ongoing training through the company I was promoted to the Intake Coordinator.
My daily tasks include assisting clients looking to bring in animals, whether they be strays or surrenders, and giving them support and the resources they need. I also oversee the Trap-Neuter-Return Program for outdoor community cats and the Diversion Program to keep pets in their home with their families, as well as work with overcrowded animal controls throughout the US to give second chances to animals who would otherwise be euthanized.
Working here has been a great experience. Not only do they share the passion for helping animals and clients, but I also feel valued as an employee and supported when it comes to difficult matters within the shelter or with my personal well-being.”

"I’ve worked at Humane Indiana for the past 4.5 years. I began my journey with Humane Indiana as a shelter veterinary assistant where I learned about shelter medicine and had the opportunity to provide lifesaving medical care to shelter animals suffering from various injuries and diseases. While working in the shelter medical department, I discovered my passion for orphaned kittens. Humane Indiana provided me with opportunities to attend national kitten conferences where I could continue learning about orphaned kitten care. I am now the shelter’s foster coordinator where I get to coach and support our amazing team of foster parents who are caring for hundreds of orphaned kittens each year."
