Estelle Marcus’ Dream Clinic

Founded in 2011 with the generous support of Estelle Marcus, our clinic continues her vision of providing health and wellness services to underserved communities, including owners of pitbulls and pitbull mixes.

We offer discounted spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exams, flea and tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping to qualifying pet owners and rescue organizations. Our clinic also provides emergency care for minor injuries and illnesses, ensuring pets receive the necessary treatment without financial strain. In addition to basic care, we offer education and support for pet owners on topics like proper nutrition, disease prevention, and responsible pet ownership.

By working with local rescue organizations, we also help to ensure the health and safety of rescued animals in need. Our services are designed to support both individual pet owners and the broader community, making quality veterinary care more accessible to those who need it most.

About Estelle

Estelle Marcus, along with her husband Bernard, spent her life in the Region giving back to the community and supporting Humane Indiana. Her generosity enabled us to purchase the Munster property, where we built the clinic and shelter—her lasting legacy.

"Without Estelle’s support, our Shelter and Clinic wouldn’t exist," says Jessica Petalas, Senior Director of Clinic and Shelter Operations. "Her contributions have allowed us to provide essential medical care to thousands of pet owners who otherwise couldn’t afford it."
