Nature’s Caretakers: A Teen Wildlife Program
Discover what it takes to be a wildlife rehabilitator!
This engaging monthly program is designed for middle and high school students aged 12–17 who are passionate about wildlife and conservation. Each session focuses on a unique rehabilitation or wildlife-related topic, providing teens with hands-on opportunities to volunteer around the grounds and support the facility's mission.
Participants will also gain insight into what it takes to become a wildlife intern, offering valuable experience for those interested in pursuing a future in animal care or environmental science.
Program Details:
When: 3rd Wednesday of each month, starting in January
Time: 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $15 per session
Where: Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation and Educational Center
