Walk-it off mini camp

BLACK FRIDAY & SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23 - 24th

Kids, get out doors and walk-off that Thanksgiving feast! Join us for our mini-camp for kids ages 6-11.

Grab a friend and hit the trails with us. We’ll show you how to ID and look for animals when you’re outdoors, we have lots of hands-on activities and games, you’ll meet our wildlife ambassadors (including our Snowy Owl) and take a tour of the rehab center. Find out how our native wildlife is celebrating the holiday season and getting ready for winter too. Plus, it gives your parents a chance to shop for you for the holidays! Registration is required. Camp fee is $50 per day or attend both days for $75!

A snack will be provided mid-day, but please pack your own lunch.

Humane Indiana’s Owl ambassadors will be flying out to our Paws Resale Shop to spread the love.

Join our education staff as we teach about the different species of owls that spend their winters in Northwest Indiana. You’ll get a chance to meet our ambassador owls that call Humane Indiana Wildlife home. From the tiny Eastern Screech Owl to the fiercest night predator, the Great Horned Owl, these birds have some amazing adaptations to share. Attendees will even get a chance to meet a winter arctic visitor, the Snowy Owl, who is now a permanent resident of Humane Indiana Wildlife. A suggested donation fee of $10 gets you in to all the fun!

Kids, the holiday season is winding down, but there is still plenty to celebrate!

Children ages 6-11 are welcome to visit Humane Indiana’s Education Center for a three day camp about wildlife in winter. From making preparations in fall to hibernating during the coldest months in the year, our wildlife has to do some amazing things to survive in the great outdoors. Through interactive activities and lessons, campers will learn what it’s like to successfully survive the winter months. Campers will get a first-hand experience when they meet our native wildlife ambassadors, . Registration is required. Camp fee is $150.
