Who qualifies for services at Humane Indiana’s Estelle Marcus Animal Clinic?

• All residents of East Chicago, Gary, Hammond, and Merrillville, Indiana

• Income-eligible clients who receive government assistance, including households receiving:

• SNAP (food stamps)

• Woman, Infants and Children (WIC)

• School Breakfast Program/ Summer Food Service Program

• Medicaid or Medicare

• Social Security Disability

• Unemployment income

• Public Housing Benefits

• Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)

• Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

• Social Security Income

• Other evidence of household’s low income

• Veterans – please present Military ID or evidence of Veterans Disability Benefits

• Owners of pitbulls and pitbull mixes

• Animal shelters, animal control agencies, and animal rescue groups who partner with HI
