If you love organizing, this is the perfect place for you! Help our volunteer team receive, organize, and display our donated and consignment items.
Christmas Set-up: If you love the spirit of the holidays, you’ll want to join our volunteer team to help with our annual Christmas decor events, which happen not once, but twice a year. There are two opportunities to bring your holly jolly decorating expertise. “The Christmas Shop” starts in late fall, and “Christmas in July” takes place all that month. Holiday music will move you as you decorate our Christmas trees and organize donated holiday items.
Book Sale Set-up: Our book sale brings thousands of books and several hundred book enthusiasts. We need help sorting and organizing the display sections. To be here on the day of, is a huge blessing, too.
Special Events: We’re always looking for ways to help our homeless shelter pets and orphaned or injured wildlife. If you would like to join us in hosting and setting up events, consider becoming a volunteer.

Passionate about our mission to lead the community in the humane treatment of all animals, Humane Indiana’s volunteer family is a fantastic group of community members. Our volunteers range in age from retirees to those who volunteer with all abilities, including special needs folks. We greatly appreciate our volunteers who kindly give their time and hearts to help the animals.

Monday - Thursday: 10 am-5 pm
Friday - Saturday: 10 am - 6 pm
