HAWK TALK: Meet & Greet our Hawk Ambassador

Let’s talk hawks! Join us to meet one of our longest standing ambassadors, our female Red-tailed Hawk as well as one of our newest, our Rough-legged Hawk. During this program we will be learning about hawks that can be found in Indiana throughout the year, where to look for them, and how we can help protect these incredible predators. All ages welcome.

Wildlife Warriors, assemble!! Spring baby season is nearing and there is so much to do! Now is the time to learn about how to help injured and orphaned wildlife and what role these amazing animals play in our environment. Campers will hit the trails and learn about animal tracks, homes, and habitats as we explore the workings of Humane Indiana Wildlife as well as meet our resident animal ambassadors.

A snack will be provided mid-day, but please pack your own lunch.

Calling all critter keepers! Spring break is upon us and now is the perfect time to join Humane Indiana to explore animal sheltering. This week long camp will introduce campers to the role of our organization in the community, and how we can work together as a community to help orphaned animals in need. Campers will have the chance to hear from current staff members on their role within HI as well as learn how to properly care for their own pets at home.

A snack will be provided mid-day, but please pack your own lunch.

Back by popular demand! Our owl ambassadors are flying in, once more, to our Highland and Valparaiso locations to help expand our knowledge of owls in Indiana. Join us for an hour-long presentation on what owl species of Indiana are doing throughout the year and folklore about these elusive nocturnal predators. There’s so much to learn about these amazing ambassadors for their species. Our presentation will feature our three of our Wildlife Ambassadors, including Owlfred — our Snowy Owl, Arlene and Drew Riley - our Screech Owls, and our Great-Horned Owl.
